This year my reading group the Cowleys have been reading your book “The Bone Tiki”

Your book was quite weird. I didn't really understand some parts because it doesn't really make sense at the start because you don't  (Don’t take this in a bad way) really explain quite enough about the main character Mat. This is my tip you should have described mat more like what he looked like, Colour hair, Eye colour, Rich or poor ,etc. The most weird part was when the dog turned into the maori legend warrior nearly at the end of the book and it was weird. There are about 100 pages that didn’t need to be in the book and i would have the same amount of info without the pages

My rate for your book was a 2 out of 5 because it wasn't really a suitable book for me   -.-  -_-

ITCHY JUMPER!

AWKWARD SHORTS!

ARE YOU SICK OF ALL THIS?

I Personally think that School Uniform should not be allowed in the School.

The first reason Mr Bryant, is that the school uniform is quite a lot of money like $115 dollars for a jumper. And if you grow out of a one and thats another $115 dollars for a second one. That’s $230 dollars for two jumpers and plus the extras. And I’ve seen quite a lot people that can’t afford the school jumpers and the whole Uniform.

My Second Reason is in class my Jumper has been so itchy and my  teacher thinks that I’m off task and I get in trouble for trying to get it in the right place. But it was all because of that horrible Jumper. It’s just not about the jumper it’s also about those heavy, lumpy black shoes. How are you supposed to play a sport. Like me and my friends like to kick a ball on the field but we stop after a few minutes because of these heavy shoes.  

My Third reason is that most of the Uniform is not in the shop. It's happened to me before. I got in trouble with my teacher for not having the correct uniform. You can ask many people without their school uniform and have got in trouble with their teacher or any staff.

My Fourth reason is that it might not be suitable for summer or Winter.

Like if it was a cold day say 5 degrees and it was winter. The jumper may keep you a little bit warm, but then you have the shorts!  They may keep your thighs warm but then you have your legs they are freezing. They could be frozen  by the end of the day because of those awkward and un useful Shorts.

My conclusion ,  I Tristan Mudaly personally think that school uniform should not be allowed in school since you would be wasting money on a uniform for only 2 years.

My Term Two Reflection

This Term has been  awesome because electives  has started and E.O.T.C has been awesome. In Inquairy this term we have benn learning about the Incredible human body and we learned about healthy food and about what happens during Puberty and I think the whole class has learned a lot

I am really proud of not laughing a lot during our lessions during Puberty lession.

The best part of this term is doing Cross country practise and not given up.

My 3 goals for term 3 are to not stop during  Cross country and to compleate the track.

  

Tech Challenge

On Monday Miss Pitt gave us a challenge to draw certain parts of the body and put them on a person in your group in the right place.

Wonder book summary.

It is about a boy called August and he has something wrong with his face it all happened when he was born. There was something wrong when he was inside his mother's stomach and that why he is like him now. He has a sister called via short for Olivia and a Mom (they haven’t mentioned the name) and a dad that we don’t know his name. That is his family. August has never been to school for a whole year because his mom is protective about him because he isn't the same as other kids but his mom and dad think he is special and so do I. August is 10 years old which means he is in Year six. So August wants to start school but his mom doesn't want him to because she is scared that other kids will make fun of him because he’s not normal. But then he starts school a good school with a principle called Mr Tushman. When  they go for a tour of the school some kids from there took August to all the classroom they were called Julian, Jack will and Charlotte. And then he starts school and  that is were we are up to.

Prediction

I think that august is going to make lots of friends and that he will fit right in but then Julian will get jealous and might do something to him.

Term 1 was awesome because when I found out that I was in Miss Pitts class with Mason, Matt and James I was over the moon. I enjoyed the writing a lot because we were doing lots of fun stuff.I found it challenging to do maths.



1. To pay more attention and to stop talking to people

my sister loves to go on her laptop!. When she isn't home she's at school having lots of fun. My sister loves having fun with people around her and is very helpful around the house.

She’s very helpful when it come to sadness like if people are sad she cheeres them up including me.

I love my sister because when I've got no one to play with she's always the first person to put her hand up. My sister has warm brown eyes and silky, black long black hair. My sister normally like to wear animal tops and pretty dresses.

My sister is eight years and is in year 4 in Te Mata school. She plays lots of sports like Cricket,soccer and many more but the main thing she does is play Minecraft.It is this game that nerds play and lots of kids. Mia and myself and my family live in a warm house on Whitaker place in Havelock north. My sister is sometimes clumsy and also loves music. My sister likes skipping and talking to people. My sister is the best!

My memorable Moment

SMACK!!!!!!!!! The sound of the backboard rattled as the ball bounced off it and span like a spin top around the rim.

First …..I stared into the eyes of my coach as  water ran down  my head as I pored it to refresh myself.

           

Next my coach gave us a pep talk as the ref walked to both teams to tells that “ The first team to get a basket wins” I said to myself “ I’ve got to win this for my team, They worked so hard this season” “ and could not let them down.

After that my team walked out onto the court and Tom grabbed the ball from the Ref and passed it to me. They clock was on 10 seconds the pressure was on as I bounced the ball my coach told me to drive to the hoop which I could. I could hear voices all around me like “Go Tristan” and “ You can do it” I was running as fast as I can to get to the hoop and jumped up in the air with the ball in my left hand.

Finally as I was in mid air and the ball go I landed flat on my back. As I turned around I could see my teammates run to me and shout”you're the best Tristan” my heart filled with joy as soon as the ref came over to my team and handed us the Basketball Hawkes Bay  Trophy and Certificates. This was a day that I would never forget.

The season was so awesome and all the players played brilliant and I was so happy that I could the final layup.
